Senior Formula developer

Role Purpose

In this role, you will lead and manage formula development projects (Reformulation, Re-Innovation, Innovation of skin care formulas). You will create and develop luxury formulations in a lab scale and ensure stability of the product as well as the handover for up-skilling from lab to production scale on time in full and in quality. 

How You Will Create a Beautiful Impact

• know La Prairie luxury key competitors and their textures and propose pro-actively new technology / new luxury textures for future La Prairie formulations with the focus on Skin Care.
• Have a very good understanding of the cosmetic ingredients required to develop luxury skin care products.
• Create and develop formula prototypes in the lab with the focus on luxury texture.
• Ensure necessary tests (e.g. stability, compatibility, microbiology, efficacy, stress tests, hand-over)
• Insure quality of the produced formula (specification, right raw in place, sensory profile etc.)
• Provide manufacturing procedure of the lab scale to your counterpart from industrialization team and accompany the upscaling activity to a pilot batch size.
• Be the R&D formula voice for your project in cross-functional project teams and communicate effectively with interfaces concerning project status, flagging risk and challenges and proposing mitigation measures.

What you need to have to be our next audacious and creative talent

• experience in the development of formulas in the luxury skin care cosmetic industry, profound know how on formulation technologies and cosmetic ingredients, with focus on luxury texture.
• Fluent in English, good German language knowledge might be beneficial
