Accountant

Operate overall accounting of La Prairie Japan (LPJ) as well as supporting internal business partners to support fullfilling accounting responsibilities.  Support continuous improvement in entire accounting operations to provide better and efficient internal services.

Monthly accounting operations

• Clear Account receivable

• Payment processing and remittance of Accounts payable

• Support issuing purchase order

• Invoicing

• Tax application process and payment

• Approving employees’ expense report

• Bank reconciliation

• Fixed assets registration and depreciation

• Rebate and accrual treatment

• Clearing employee sales

• Support internal control

• Manage tax and compliance documents

Support month/quarter/year end closing

• Support monthly cash flow

• Support management of BS account

• Input financial result into HQ designated system

Support LPJ internal legal documents

• Manage contract, NDA, CoC and other legal documents

• Manage employee training history

Communication and coordination with LPJ, HQ and external counterparts

Continuously support improving accounting operations to provide better and efficient internal services

Other possible duties assigned by the Finance Director and Senior accountant

What you need to have to be our next audacious and creative talent:

• At least 5 years of experience in the accounting field

• University graduate

• Up to intermediate level in English and native Japanese (written & spoken)

• PC literacy (including MS Office, especially strong in MS Excel, MS Access a plus). SAP experience is a plus

• Holding Book-keeping 2nd grade and/or above or similar knowledge is desired

• High attention to detail, able to work independently

• Self-motivated, pro-active drive to achieve improvements
