Planning & Logistics Manager

Contract Type:  Permanent - full-time
Description: 

Lead and manage all logistics and demand planning activities for two brands: La Prairie and Chantecaille to ensure seamless supply chain operations. This includes managing CITES compliance, coordinating with freight forwarders, tracking shipments, and forecasting demand for all SKUs across multiple channels using the OMP Forecasting tool. Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to build accurate forecasts that incorporate marketing initiatives and execution plans. Continuously optimize processes by leveraging historical data and best practices to improve forecast accuracy, maintain optimal inventory levels, and support business growth.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demand Planning

  • Manage S&OP process by creating and managing retail and shipment forecasts for all saleable SKUs across channels using the OMP forecasting tool
  • Align demand and supply plans through proactive monitoring of allocation changes and coordinating with the Allocation Team
  • Track and report on stock health including out of stock and low stock situations and update forecasts accordingly to mitigate risks
  • Analyse historical sales trends and future forecast and work cross functionally to achieve continuous forecast accuracy and demand plan
  • Attend regular operations meeting to review marketing promotional notes for upcoming product launches
  • Timely ordering and delivery of stock into warehouse – managing delays, short-shipments and liaison with International Supply Chain, Allocation Team and Freight Forwarder
  • Monitor stock levels, stock aging & scrapping and propose actions as necessary
  • Follow up on destruction calendar (Central Warehouse)

Purchasing / Procurement

  • Responsibility for creating Purchase Orders in SAP for relevant local purchases
  • Responsibility for creating Purchase Orders from forecast schedules and lodgement with HQ through SAP
  • Review Purchase Order availabilities and price variances and keep relevant departments updated
  • Manage and oversee procurement guidelines are followed

Shipping

  • Maintain shipping register for imports and exports
  • Monitor and follow up international deliveries with forwarders and suppliers, advising forwarder of delivery requirements and vessels
  • Check all shipment documentation and invoicing is correct and approve where relevant
  • Liaise with warehouse and wider team on shipment deliveries and timing
  • Periodic review of local and international freight costs including freight tender

CITES – Caviar Import and Export Compliance 

  • Ensure each Caviar species ingredient has current import permit (inbound) and current re-export permit (NZ)
  • Liaise with warehouse on export documentation, update forms regularly and manage CITES compliance risk.   

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 5 years supply chain, planning, logistics related experience. Large multinational experience preferred 
  • Detailed operating knowledge of SAP systems 
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of supply chain process and S&OP
  • Familiar with Australia customs procedures, policies and regulations
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in MS Office – especially in Excel
  • Independent, motivated and driven
  • Keen interest in continual process improvement
