A De Gruchy- Beauty Consultant

Contract Type:  Permanent - part-time

We are looking for a Beauty Consultant to join our team in De Gruchy- Channel Islands. The purpose of this role is to achieve individual and account retail targets, and other key performance indicators whilst providing excellent customer service. This role requires the individual to be qualified in therapy.


Key Tasks:

Approaching customers and achieving sales:

Your role is to achieve targeted sales by adhering to La Prairie’s selling and Training guidelines.


  • Approach customers with an enthusiastic and easy-going opening
  • Review daily goals throughout the day and liaise with your line manager to make improvements
  • Listen and identify customer needs
  • Invite every customer to sit down and have a skincare consultation
  • Offer ‘Art of Perfection’ to every customer
  • Introduce  ‘Diamond Service’ to customers
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of internal systems for customer records
  • Ask the appropriate follow up questions in a friendly manner
  • Ensure events are fully stocked and appropriate customers have been contacted


Therapists only

  • Adhering to the La Prairie ‘Art of Beauty’ facial guidelines to ensure that standards are consistent and up to date
  • To skilfully marry ‘Art of Beauty’ and selling skills together to achieve KPI’s
  • To build a good ‘Are of Beauty’ client base with the help of internal systems
  • Business planning to ensure that the beauty room is maximised around key events and launches


Visual Merchandising

You role is to ensure that La Prairie’s image is maximised in store.

  • Ensure the counter is spotlessly clean and well maintained
  • Make certain the counter is fully stocked and that all products are stored by category and shade sequence
  • All displays are strictly in accordance with company Visual Merchandising guidelines and planograms
  • Report any counter issues promptly to Marketing


Therapists only

  • To present the beauty room in a high spec way. Working with the merchandising team to follow guidelines and use collateral.
To ensure that you are informed about current and new business initiatives and to provide feedback to your Account/Business manager.
