Regional Retail Education and Training Manager, Asia & Oceania



Contract Type:  Permanent - full-time

Responsible for the implementation and follow-up of Global Education initiatives, programmes, and standards (KPIs) in terms of brand and product knowledge, retail skills, and luxury execution within the Region.  Acts as key partner and voice of the region in partnering with global Education Team in defining Strengthens collaboration with Asian Business Development functions, ensuring luxury execution and retail consistency across the region and contribute to input on 360 campaign in terms of needs and guidelines from a retail perspective.


Your responsibilities:
Planning and Strategy

  • Defines and plans yearly, bi-annual education strategy, objectives, and calendar in the region according to global guidelines and regional needs/initiatives and oversees a consistent approach in the market.
  • Ensures education plans are fully executed by markets and objectives reached according to strategy and priorities. Readjusts strategy and plan with local Training Managers whenever needed.

KPI Setting and Analysis, follow up Actions

  • Defines, implements, and ensures education standards (KPIs) are applied consistently within the region. Drives KPI follow up and action sharing as well as best practices in the region.


  • Drives the rollout of Retail Academy programmes in the region for all three pillars: Brand & Products, Retail Excellence, Beauty Advisor development, with a strong focus on Service and Selling concepts. Establishes Service and Retail Education as an integral part of training delivery
  • Conducts “Train-The-Trainer” (TTT) regional meetings in collaboration with Global Education team and regular regional Education/ Training community summits.

Regional Governance

  • Assesses performance of local Education Managers/Trainers and BAs and ensures coaching and follow-up plan.
  • Provides feedback on regional education needs to Global Education and is the voice of Asia and Oceania to be considered in Education programme development.
  • Leads, guides, and develops Regional Retail and Education teams. Updates team’s role and deliverables according to global strategy and business performance development.
  • Is responsible for Regional Education team budget (travels, regional meetings, development training) and expenses control.


Support to Retail & Operation

  • Proposes and translates commercial targets into Education and Retail KPIs.
  • Defines a framework for regional and local Retail KPIs according to business need and in collaboration with local Retail teams and monitors and takes part in action plans related to markets’ performance 
  • Follow monthly analysis of BA productivity (provided by finance) and propose actionable ways to improve. 
  • Collaborate with other regions such as Travel Retail/other markets to identify common learning needs/initiates/projects and regional contribution areas.
  • Lead Brand Projects implementation and Training Programmes and content, roll out plans for region: e.g. CRM Programme, new POS, Campaign Management, Learning Management System (LMS).


Your Profile:

  • Prior experience and passion for Education & Training, consumer-centric and with solid field operations experience
  • Excellent training presentation and communication skills to large audiences in person and via digital tools
  • Multi-market experience with good understanding of Asia Pacific selective cosmetics, skincare market and luxury environment
  • Excellent Business acumen, being able to connect theory to practice
  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills, innovative and agile
  • Strong leadership and managerial experience 
  • Training, retail strategy and sales experience
  • Structured approach to planning and KPI measuring
  • Proficient in MS applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Digital savvy, having worked with Learning Management Systems/LMS as regional/local Administrator. 
  • Fluent in English, Mandarin would be ideal, all other languages are an asset
