Selfridges - Beauty Consultant

Contract Type:  Permanent - full-time

We are currently recruiting for a Beauty Consultant to join the team in Selfridges, Trafford Centre Manchester.


The purpose of this role is to achieve individual and account retail targets, and other key performance indicators whilst providing excellent customer service.


The key responsibilities of this role include the following;

Approaching customers and achieving sales

To achieve targeted sales by adhering to La Prairie’s selling and Training guidelines.


  • Approach customers with an enthusiastic and easy-going opening
  • Review daily goals throughout the day and lisase with line manager to make improvements
  • Traffic stop with ‘new’ launches and marketing lead program
  • Listen and identify customer needs
  • Ask the appropriate follow up questions in a friendly manner
  • Invite every customer to sit down and have a skincare consultation
  • Introduce  ‘Diamond Servicer’ to customers
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of EPOS System for customer recocrds
  • Offer Art of Perfection to ever consumer
  • Ensure events are fully stocked and appripriate customers have been contacted


Visual Merchandising

To ensure the La Prairie’s image is maximised in store.

  • Ensure the counter is spotlessly clean and well maintained
  • Make certain the counter is fully stocked and that all products are stored by category and shade sequence
  • All displays are strictly in accordance with Company Visual Merchandising guidelines and planograms
  • Report any counter issues promptly to Marketing

Communication: To ensure that you are informed about current and new business initiatives and to provide feedback to your Account/Business manager

Code of Conduct and Personal Appearance: To adhere to the behaviour outlined in the Consultant Employee Handbook

  • Comply to LP/Store start and finishing times and meal breaks
  • Represent Company image through personal appearance, interpersonal skills and style
  • Comply to the uniform and grooming standards as outlined in the Style & Grooming guidelines
  • Ensure that absences are notified on first day to the Store and to HR & Consultant Services Department at Head Office
  • Abide by La Prairie’s and Store rules at all times



To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience of working for a luxury brand, either skincare, beauty or perfumery
  • Excellent standards of customer service with a passion for luxury
  • Impeccable communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Familiar with using systems to capture product and customer data
  • Passionate about skin care and beauty
  • Ability to consistently meet targets
  • A strong team work ethic
