Retail Coach Travel Retail - Macau



Contract Type:  Permanent - full-time

Job Purpose:     

  • Represents La Prairie as the Luxury House in beauty, its brand values and products.

  • Motivates & develops Beauty Advisors, serves as role model, leads by example and guides them in image (grooming, attitude) and professionalism (KPIs)

  • Elevate sales & performances through BA coaching, define coaching needs, prepare framework, plan and roll-out.  We aim at improving BA’s service attitude, selling techniques, consultation skills and La Prairie product knowledge.

  • Conduct Art of Perfection (AOP), Art of Service & Novelty Training follow-up coaching.

  • Conduct Generic Staff training/briefing as per global guidelines and customize the training according to each location needs in collaboration with educational manager.

  • Supports the Retail team with KPI setting and follow up per BA, and on Events and Outposts



Main Accountabilities:           


  • Conduct new BA on-the-Job training before induction training.

  • Conduct coaching according to the focus in classroom or virtual training as per defined global standards.

  • Ensure BA perform AOP digital tracking at counters. Provide AOP coaching & role plays when needed.  Follow up on AOB (facial cabin) service flow with beauty therapists.

  • Identify strengths and weaknesses of each BA and develops an individual coaching plan per BA accordingly.

  • Closely follow up on coaching plan in collaboration with Education Manager.

  • Elevate service levels of BAs and ensure LP AOS standards are followed.

  • Motivates and shows care to each BA to increase BA engagement and loyalty to the brand.

  • Actively communicates with BAs and share best practices across the region to ensure good communication and key learnings are transparent.

  • Provide ongoing reporting and analysis of the coaching progress, outcome and activities.

  • Provide ongoing feedback to sales team & marketing team after observation at the field.

  • Supports the retail team with KPI setting per BA and conducts the respective coaching, and communicate well with Retail Team on the follow up needs of BAs.



  • Preparation and review of Training pre/post-work in order to analyse the efficiency of Coaching sessions and identify the needs of follow up coaching sessions. 

  • Conduct Generic Staff (GS)/Promoter Training/briefing sessions for selected POS.

  • Conduct BA performance assessments, discuss and align with Education Manager and provide individual BA development plan.

  • Provide feedback on specific training needs.



  • Presentable, confident to represent La Prairie as the ambassador and present the brand story and collections to clients.

  • Interaction with clients during event.

  • Act as role model for beauty artists and promoters during outpost, and perform service demonstration.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 3-5 years of experiences in Field Coaching and Training in luxury skincare/cosmetics fields.

  • Strong communication and coaching skills.

  • Proficient in Cantonese and good in English/Mandarin.

  • Presentable, attention to details, self-motivated, and independent with excellent interpersonal skills in working with all front-line staff. 

  • Presentation skills during client events and confidence in interaction with clients.

  • Aesthetics education background and experience is a bonus.

  • Genuinely interested in developing and motivate others. 

  • Open to feedback and seek for solutions to improve. 

  • Self-organized with preparation of training materials/coaching plan and tools, and well managed with personal schedule.

  • General administrative tasks (regular reporting and expenses).

  • Administrative skill such as words, excel and power point.
