Global Procurement Development Manager m/f/d

Contract Type:  Permanent - full-time

The main purpose of this role is to facilitate operational excellence through the development and implementation of process improvements and procurement guidelines. In the transforming environment, you will be in charge of improving the efficiency of procurement services and providing the governance that strengthen the La Prairie’s compliance with policies, procedures and legislative requirements.

In addition, it is required to provide support on the indirect services spend for La Prairie affiliate companies.


This role reports to the Procurement Director.



How you will create a beautiful impact:  


Procurement Development

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the procurement processes and tools with the aim of the optimization and strong focus on digitalization.
  • Updating the Procurement Guidelines and supporting its roll out across the organization (including training and follow up of local implementation).
  • Defining templates & KPIs methodology.
  • Leading & coordinating the Compliance Risk Management activities on behalf of the Procurement Team, meaning performing the compliance checks on key/high rick aspects of the procurement process in accordance with the Compliance Guidelines.
  • Developing processes to be used across all categories (both Direct and Indirect), helping to streamline and automate processes where possible in a consistent manner.
  • Conduct procurement data and market analysis
  • Prepare and consolidate monthly reports for the Procurement Team


Indirect Services support

  • Responsible for procurement activities for all La Prairie subsidiaries excluding Asia, including but not limited to:
  • organizing supplier biddings, RFI/RFPs and negotiating commercial conditions with suppliers (price negotiation, payment terms, quality levels, service levels, inventories when applicable).



What you need to have to be our next audacious and creative talent:

  • Master’s degree (FH) in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred or equivalent - CIPS qualification preferable
  • More than 5 years’ experience in indirect services procurement is a must, preferably in an international environment
  • Strong analytical, communication, organization and negotiation skills
  • Ability to influence business partners, internally and externally, conveying value creation and communicating it accordingly 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities, work cross functionally and drive change across all levels of the organization and geographical boundaries
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results under several deadlines
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Ppt, Word), SAP R/3 (MM module) & Qlikview or equivalent
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
