Packaging Specialist

Contract Type:  Permanent - full-time
Description: 

We are looking for an energetic, self-driven Packaging Specialist to strengthen our Quality team at Swiss Cosmetics Production (SCP), a member of the La Prairie Group, based in Berneck SG, Switzerland. In this role, you will be responsible for the management of the packaging supplier portfolio, report to the Quality Manager of SCP and work in an international environment.

 

Main responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for all packaging-related quality deviations within the factory
  • Establish & coordinate all packaging material complaints processes internally and externally
  • Development, continuous improvement and management of the packaging supplier portfolio
  • Validate new packaging materials against specifications in collaboration with the Packaging Development team.
  • Quality support on projects & initiatives related to packaging materials
  • Develop and lead training sessions on packaging quality for the organization
  • Conduct and support audit at packaging suppliers’ facilities

 

Your profile:

  • Technical degree, e.g. mechanical, industrial design, packaging engineer
  • Previous experience (2-3 years) in production, quality vendor management, and/or packaging engineering is preferred.
  • Previous experience in root cause analysis and hands-on mentality to follow up action plans.
  • Well organized and results oriented.
  • Strong communication skills in English (C1) and German (B2) to communicate internally and externally.
  • Experience in quality inspections is a plus.
  • Familiarity with requirements and audits for packaging materials is a plus.
