HR Director Europe

Description: 

  

Role Purpose:

In this exciting role you will be a Senior Partner for the business in our European region and support the Regional VP and General Managers of the countries in all strategic decisions.
This vital role will partner with the local leadership teams in accomplishing strategic & commercial objectives through strategic consulting and the optimization of workforce & HR planning, in alignment with business priorities and the global LP HR strategy.
You will play a key role in managing stakeholders internally & externally with the growing responsibility of the region.

 

How you will create a beautiful impact:

 

Strategy:

  • Partner with the Regional VP and Global VP HR to create & shape the regional future organization.
  • Participate in the development of the overall HR strategy based on the
    LP business priorities and implement it in the region.
  • Partner with senior management to coach, provide advice and solutions relating to all personnel questions (recruitment, salaries, retention, performance evaluation and separation)
  • Further develop the HRD partnership model in the region & update as necessary

 

Talent Management:  

  • Own and steer the Development, Potential and Succession Management process and support the process for all managers within the region.
  • Foster internationality and diversity. Deliver strategic workforce planning (i.e. demographics, competencies, integrated talent management, performance management, expat management) and ensure strategic recruiting activities are executed. Co-decide on internal/external recruitment activities of all leadership positions in the region
  • Demonstrate a very agile & skillful focus on filling critical & key roles + planning for succession
     

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Manage the compensation processes in partnership with local HRDs. Conduct regular review to ensure C&B policy and practices are in-line with company’s strategic objectives while at the same time comply with local laws and regulations and to remain competitive.
  • Ensure and improve continuously an appropriate compensation & benefits approach based on policies and procedures.

 

Leadership:

  • This role has a high visibility internally & externally, hence Leadership practices are expected from the incumbent.
  • Given some matrix reporting lines & regions set up, a Leadership by influence is needed.
  • Lead a HRBP as direct report

 

Collaboration:

  • Work with the local HR Directors in six markets within your region, with the Global HR team and with the managers of the HQ EMEA departments, this mainly using English language but also potentially German and French. You will also be a member of the Global HR Lead Team.
  • Collaborate and team up on dedicated projects with other HRBPs at HQ and HR CoE as one team
  • Foster a team community with the markets HRBP by various engagement actions.
     

 

What you need to have to be our next audacious and creative talent:

  • University Degree and/or HR Diploma
  • Passion for People experience and excellent relationship building skills
  • 15 years of experience in HR with a focus as HRBP
  • Luxury affinity and experience in luxury retail will be an advantage
  • Regional experience or High agility & adaptability to work with key Markets
  • Business affinity & partnership and excellent networking skills
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to operate in an international and
    changing environment
  • Well organized, proactive, and efficient personality as well as trustworthy, reliable, flexible
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team and with culturally
    diverse markets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluent in English, any other language would be an advantage
