Job Scope:

As the Project Manager - Store Design, your primary responsibility is to own the process of planning and executing all store design projects, including preparation of project briefs for Global Store Design, coordination of shopfitter efforts and compiling project close-out documents. Provide support for the overall Store Design mission, with daily contact with Global and North America senior management, field teams and retail partners. Manage and oversee a direct report. 

 

You will create a beautiful impact by:

  • Owning all aspects of store design process for North America (US + Canada) including project scheduling and planning, overseeing execution with various suppliers, sourcing and delivery of all store fixtures; and coordinating with cross-functional teams (Retail Sales, Visual Merchandising, IT, Marketing, Finance and Retailer) to ensure store is fully operational for an on-time opening.
  • Managing the project schedule and budget for all North America new store openings, renovations, relocations, and store closings.
  • Mentoring and managing direct report within organization: Store Design Coordinator.
  • Facilitating approval process between Region and Global Store Design; leading creation of the store design brief and provide feedback to Global for all store design implementation. 
  • Providing a strong partnership to Global Design to ensure local execution is in line with global design standards. 
  • Leading preparation of all new project presentations and updates for senior executives and global teams. Coordinating cross-funcational input. 
  • Being an active participant in weekly store design calls with Global Store Design - advocating for needs of North America business and providing ongoing status reports of schedule compliance with relevant teams. 
  • Ensuring all proper certification and authorization is obtained and local construction codes are followed. 
  • Coordinating and negotiating with retail store planning teams through all phases of the project.
  • Acting as the key contact with retail store planning teams, sales, field staff, and finance to secure white boxes, guidelines, and other necessary technical details for all active projects.
  • Managing full scope of bidding process for general contractors, shopfitters, and external consultants. 
  • Reviewing RFP's, submittals, and change orders for each project.
  • Developing CAPEX and maintenence & repair budgets, and regularly update those reports.
  • Visiting construction sites during installations, preparing punch list and close-out reports. 
  • Managing Store Life Cycle Tool (La Prairie internal Store Design software) and ensure all the projects are properly updated and on-time.

 

To be our next creative and audacious talent you will need:

  • 4-5 years Store Design & Project Management experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in a management role
  • This position requires traveling ~30% of the time
  • Strong attention to detail and extremely high ability to multi-task
  • High level written and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Intermediate-Advanced skill in AutoCAD
  • Architecture degree, a plus
